    The School of Dentistry and Oral Health has two undergraduate majors, dentistry and dental technology, respectively. Among which the major of dentistry was established in 2006, and the major of dental technology was established in 2013. 

    The school has established two departments (basic and clinical) and one research laboratory with a total price is 1.5 million USD of research equipment.

    In addition to the Taishan medical university, the places of study the major knowledge and technique for students are: the Affiliated Hospital of Taishan Medical University, Liaocheng People’s Hospital, Beijing Aerospace General Hospital, Tai’an City Central Hospital, Tai’an City Dental Hospital, Shandong Provincial Hospital, Ding Yuan Dental Lab Ltd., Guangzhou Ruitong Biological Technology Co., Ltd., KTJ International Dental Group and more than 20 internship teaching places.

    In order to enable students to have a solid foundation of theoretical knowledge and more skilled clinical diagnosis and treatment skills with ability of creative thinking and practice and growth potential, the school has always attached importance to the teaching, scientific training plan, efficient teaching management, and cultivate students with all-round development in moral, intellectual and physical educations.  

    The school places great importance on scientific research and teaching research. Recently, the school undertook three provincial research projects, a provincial education reform project, five university-level education research projects and edited three textbooks, and published six research papers on education.

    The school focuses on foreign exchange and cooperation. The school has signed a cooperation agreement with Yonsei University, Chonbuk National University and Shinhan University. The school also maintains close liaison with domestic key school of stomatology, such as Peking University, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Fourth Military Medical University and Shandong University.

    The schools goal is integration resources and improve the institutional system to implement the "China Dream" project to take on the overall growth, the implementation of ideas to lead the action, expand the quality of action, rights and interests of service actions to promote the healthy, comprehensive and  equitable growth of students.

    The score of this school students had substantially improved. Among them, the vast majority of students majoring in dentistry were admitted to graduate school of Peking University, Shanghai Jiaotong University and Sichuan University.

    Students majoring in dental technology were actively participated in professional skills competitions, and in the fifteenth “Rijin cup” national dental skills contest won the outstanding group award. The comprehensive quality of students in dental technology had been unanimously approved by the related enterprises.
